It is the expression of our intuitive understanding of the present moment, the music, our partner and the couples around.

About Us

Beirutango is a non-profit Lebanese association founded in 2009 by a group of committed dancers led by dancer and choreographer Mazen Kiwan with a mission to promote Argentine Tango as a dance and a way of life.

Tango is a social dance based on improvisation. It is part of the world’s ‘Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity’. It creates beautiful connections between individuals and helps in breaking all boundaries.

We have been actively organizing Tango events with the intention of introducing internationally acclaimed Tango performers, teachers, musicians, singers and dancers to our community.

To dance is to have the courage to unveil ourselves. It is fitting into our bodies without asking for the permission of our minds.
